Frances Beinecke

Frances Beinecke is a seasoned environmental advocate with extensive leadership experience, currently serving as President Emerita of the Natural Resources Defense Council (NRDC) since October 2019. As a board member for prominent organizations such as the Cary Institute of Ecosystem Studies, ClientEarth, NRDC Action Fund, and the World Resources Institute, Frances contributes to various environmental initiatives. Frances founded and leads 3 Ponds LLC, focusing on the development of environmental advocacy strategies. Frances held the position of President of NRDC from January 2006 to December 2014 and holds degrees in Environmental Policy from Yale University, including the Yale School of Forestry and Environmental Studies.
