Diego Naziri

Associate Professor Of Agri-food Systems Innovation at Natural Resources Institute

Diego Naziri is a value chain/postharvest specialist at the International Potato Center (CIP) since July 2014, providing scientific and management leadership in planning and monitoring AR4D initiatives. As an associate professor of agri-food systems innovation at the Natural Resources Institute since November 2010, Diego contributes to agriculture and food SMEs in developing countries, enhancing smallholder farmers' market access through research and consultancy. Previous roles include postdoctoral fellow at CIRAD, where Diego coordinated research on safe vegetable production in Vietnam, and research fellow at the Istituto Agronomico per l'Oltremare, focusing on the wheat value chain in Ethiopia. Diego's experience also includes internships and consultancy in international trade and agricultural practices. Diego holds a PhD in Sustainable Development and International Cooperation from Sapienza Università di Roma and an advanced university degree in Agricultural Sciences from Università degli Studi di Torino.
