I manage NatureScot's marine ornithology work. This involves leading the Marine Ornithology team with a focus on:

- Marine bird MPAs (incl. marine and seabird colony SPAs) & PMFs: Overview of SPA Conservation & Management Advice (CMAs), fisheries advice, monitoring, Licensing, HRAs and review of PMFs.

- Marine Enhancement: The Scottish Seabird Conservation Strategy lead, Biosecurity for Life legacy lead

- Avian Influenza: Overview of seabird HPAI related work - monitoring, surveillance & guidance
