Heather Moriyama is a seasoned nutrition professional with extensive experience in clinical and community settings. Currently serving as the Nutrition Services Manager at Shriners Children's Hawaii since October 2021, Heather plans and directs food service operations while overseeing medical nutrition therapy services. Additionally, Heather has been providing nutrition services as a Registered Dietitian at Navian Hawaii since January 2020. Previous roles include Registered Dietitian at FLIK Independent School Dining, where Heather developed wellness initiatives for independent school communities, and Consultant Dietitian at Crandall Corporate Dietitians, offering nutrition services and training in assisted living communities. Heather's career began in the US Army, where Heather served as an Army Dietitian and Officer from July 1990 to September 2015, gaining valuable experience in medical nutrition therapy and food service management. Academically, Heather holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Food Science and Human Nutrition from the University of Hawaii at Manoa and a Master’s Degree in Community Health Education from West Virginia University.
