Director of Operations at Navigation North

Brendon McCarthy has held a variety of roles in the past 19 years. In 2021, they were appointed as the Director of Operations at Navigation North. From 2015-2021, they were the Founding Partner at coloduo and the Director of Technology at Yongsan International School of Seoul, where they developed integrations to automate workflows and share data between legacy, on-premise, and cloud systems, managed implementation and integration of student information (SIS) and learning management (LMS) systems, coordinated website redesign on enterprise CMS, drafted communication policies and procedures, and developed social media strategy as co-chair of marketing and communications team. From 2008-2015, they were the Project Manager and Software Engineer at Hatton Point, Inc., where they consulted on innovative technology solutions to improve business, marketing, and sales operations, provided technical sales support across numerous prospective client engagements, and managed implementation of ERP/GP reporting system for industry-leading energy compliance company. From 2002-2008, they were the Executive Assistant and Nutritional Care Specialist at the United States Army Reserve, where they performed duties of company clerk assisting senior command in the training, professional development, and management of 300+ personnel, and administered screening operations as a unit prevention leader following strict policies on privacy and procedural integrity. From 2004-2006, they were the Project Manager, Software Developer, and Systems Administrator at Colorado State University, where they developed web applications to improve service and support, manage processes, streamline business functions, and track accountability, administered college-wide portal for students, faculty, and staff, and performed project management functions for three teams covering client, server and security technology deployments. From 2006-2007, they were the General Manager, Assistant Manager, and Beverage Manager at Columbine Mountain Management, where they managed business operations of restaurant/bar, developed marketing strategies, designed advertising campaigns, implemented financial and inventory controls, and trained, scheduled and managed servers, bartenders, and support staff. From 2007-2006, they were the Software Developer at Triad Systems Engineering. Lastly, from 2006-2004, they were the Business Education Teacher at the Department of Defense Education Activity, where they instructed high school students in business management classes helping to develop a real world understanding of management responsibilities, instructed junior high students in entry-level computer application classes helping to develop self-awareness through the use of Microsoft, Macromedia, and Adobe software, and assisted track and field coaches with athlete training and development.

Brendon McCarthy attended Colorado State University from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration, Information Systems, and Business Education. In 2003-2004, they also attended Front Range Community College and obtained a Systems Administration degree in Network and System Administration. In addition, they hold a Colorado Teacher License from the State of Colorado and a Microsoft Certified Professional from Microsoft.
