Bogdan Mitu

Bogdan Mitu has over 18 years of professional experience in the field of computer vision engineering. In 2021, they began working as a Senior Computer Vision Engineer for NavTrac. Prior to this, they worked as a Senior Computer Vision Engineer for Doxel.ai from 2017-2021, where they made major contributions to the automated annotation pipeline for construction progress monitoring and developed computer vision algorithms for object detection in 3D Lidar point clouds. From 2015-2017, they held the role of Senior Software Engineer at Quanergy, where they championed, designed, and implemented the Algorithm Performance Evaluation Framework. From 2013-2015, they worked as a Computer Vision Consultant for mParallelo (early stage video analytics startup), where they defined the high-level architecture of a video analytics application and drove the implementation of key software components for the minimum viable product (MVP). From 2009-2013, they were a Senior Computer Vision Engineer for Digital Signal Corporation, where they improved the video tracking system of the company\u2019s 3D face recognition solution. From 2003-2009, they worked for BrightScale, Inc. (startup, video processing solutions) as a Director and Senior ASIC Design Engineer, where they lead the development of video codecs and optimized the BrightScale instruction set for video decoding.

Bogdan Mitu completed their Ph.D in Microelectronics from the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest in 2001.
