Mike Buggar

Mike Buggar is an accomplished cybersecurity and information security professional with extensive experience in governance and risk management. Currently serving as Senior Principal Security/Cyber Governance & Risk Management at Navy Federal Credit Union since November 2021, Mike previously held various roles at State Farm® from March 1998 to October 2021, including Information Security Architecture Analyst, where Mike led risk management automation initiatives, and Insider Threat Team Lead, responsible for developing procedures and documentation for the insider threat team. Earlier in the career, Mike was the owner of Alloy Web Designs, Inc., and held positions including General Manager at Dave's World, Incident Response Coordinator at the CERT Division, UNIX Systems Administrator at Illinois State University, and Computer Systems Programmer in the United States Air Force. Mike holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Illinois State University and completed an internship at Carnegie Mellon University.
