Leroy Sims, MD, MSc, CAQSM, FACEP, currently serves as the Senior Vice President and Head of Medical Operations for the National Basketball Association (NBA), after holding the positions of Vice President and Medical Director for Events and Consultant for Event Medical Support within the organization. With extensive experience in emergency medicine as an Emergency Medicine Physician at Mills-Peninsula Emergency Medical Associates, Leroy Sims has also contributed to the field of sports medicine as a team physician for USA Track & Field and the United States Olympic Committee, as well as holding a position with the International Olympic Committee. Leroy Sims completed a fellowship in Primary Care Sports Medicine at Stanford University School of Medicine from 2010 to 2011, after obtaining a medical degree from the same institution from 2002 to 2007.
