Max Downey

Max Downey is an experienced professional currently serving as the Acting General Manager for Network Traffic Modelling and Insights at nbn® Australia since August 2021. With a robust background at Telstra from January 2008 to August 2021, Max held roles including Senior Engineer, where responsibilities encompassed End-to-End Teletraffic and Network Modelling, as well as expertise in data science and software engineering. Additionally, Max's experience includes international consulting in RAN design and financial modelling. Max holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Wireless Propagation from IRIS (Swinburne), along with a Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering with Honours in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the University of Melbourne.
