Mairianne Stewart has a diverse range of work experience spanning over several years. Mairianne has held various finance and leadership roles in different companies.

Mairianne'smost recent role was as an Interim Finance Director at NCTech Imaging, where they started in May 2023. Prior to that, they were a Portfolio Finance Director at Plug-in Finance from February 2023 to May 2023.

In 2022, Mairianne served as the Interim Director of Finance at the Institute of Directors (IoD) from August 2022 to February 2023.

Before that, they worked as an Interim Finance Implementation Lead at Redress Scotland from November 2021 to August 2022, and as an Interim Head of Finance & Corporate Affairs at Bòrd na Gàidhlig from January 2021 to November 2021.

Mairianne also has extensive experience at Royal London, where they held multiple roles. Mairianne served as the Head of Finance, Royal London Intermediary (RLI) from October 2017 to April 2020. Prior to that, they were the Lead Finance Business Partner for RLI from August 2016 to September 2017.

Mairianne also had a brief stint at Sainsbury's Bank as a Contractor - Commercial Finance Manager from January 2016 to May 2016.

Mairianne's earlier experience includes roles at Standard Life, where they worked as a Senior Finance Business Partner from 2013 to 2015, an Operational Tax Risk Senior Manager from 2010 to 2013, and an Audit Quality and Strategy (AQ&S) Senior Audit Manager from 2008 to 2010.

Mairianne started their career at SCOTTISH POWER (IBERDROLA Renovables) in 1997, where they held various roles including Head of Internal Audit, Business Risk and Controls Manager, Internal Auditor/Senior Internal Auditor, Senior Management Accountant, and Financial Accountant.

Before that, they worked as a Project Accountant (Trainee Accountant) at GEC Marconi from 1995 to 1997.

Mairianne Stewart's education history includes several notable achievements. In 1988, they completed their O Grades at St. Margaret's High in Airdrie, achieving first-time passes in 9 different subjects. The following year, they obtained their H Grades at the same institution, achieving the same feat in 6 subjects.

Moving forward, Mairianne attended the University of Aberdeen from 1990 to 1994, where they obtained a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Accounting. Continuing their education, they enrolled at the Chartered Institute of Management Accountants from 1996 to 2000, specializing in Commercial Accounting. During this period, they passed the Association of Chartered Management Accountants examination on their first attempt, earning their the certification.

Mairianne pursued further professional development in the field of information systems auditing, gaining the Chartered Information Systems Auditor (CISA) designation in 2009. In 2018 and 2019, they completed the Agile Leadership Programme, which focused on enhancing their leadership skills.

Additionally, Mairianne participated in several executive programs, including the Executive Women Leadership Programme in 2019 and the IRM Certification program offered by the Institute of Risk Management in the same year.
