Taras Piskunov

Taras Piskunov is a highly experienced optical engineer with a robust background in optical systems design, research, and development. Currently serving as a Senior Optical Engineer at Nearfield Instruments B.V. since July 2019, Taras leads projects in laser material analysis and optical imaging, while also overseeing optics design and simulation, system integration, and performance optimization. Prior to this role, Taras held positions as an Optical Engineer and Assistant Professor at Bauman Moscow State Technical University, where teaching and supervising courses in applied optics and optoelectronic devices were key responsibilities. Taras's extensive expertise is further supported by a Doctor of Philosophy in Laser and Optical Engineering, achieved in 2015, and an Engineer's degree in the same field, completed in 2011.
