Juan Osorno

Juan Osorno has a diverse range of work experience in the field of IT and cybersecurity. Juan began their career at Ricoh USA, Inc. in 2008 as a Service Specialist I, providing troubleshooting and support for hardware and software issues. Juan then moved on to blackboxnetworkservices as a NOC/SOC technician, where they monitored and analyzed SNMP traps and performed tuning of the SIEM system.

In 2019, Juan joined MasTec Network Solutions as an Information Security Specialist, focusing on NAC issues, system hardening, and encryption. Juan also provided assistance with MFA configuration.

Juan then worked at InfoSight, Inc. as a SNOC Analyst, where they monitored SIEM for anomalous events, performed triage analysis, and created alarm suppression rules.

Currently, Juan is working at Neighborly® as a Cyber Security Engineer. Their responsibilities include conducting vulnerability assessments, coordinating penetration tests, and collaborating with the development team to identify vulnerabilities in support of the SecDevOps program.

Juan Osorno attended ITT Technical Institute from 2006 to 2008, where they obtained an Associate of Science (AS) degree in Computer Science. In terms of additional certifications, they have obtained various credentials. In 2009, Juan obtained the CompTIA A+ certification. Later, in 2018, they earned the Comptia IT Operations Specialist certification, followed by the Comptia Secure Infrastructure Specialist certification in 2019. Most recently, in August 2022, they obtained the Penetration Testing Active Directory certification from LinkedIn. Although there are mentions of CompTIA Network+ and CompTIA Security+ certifications, the specific month and year of obtaining these certifications are not provided.
