Tom Mattei

Chief Compliance, Interim Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary at Neiman Marcus Group

Tom Mattei is our Chief Compliance Officer and since January 2024 is serving as Interim Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary, and in these capacities Tom’s current responsibilities include oversight of corporate, strategic, and tactical legal and risk-related initiatives, matters of corporate governance, and loss prevention. Tom has served in positions of increasing responsibility with Neiman Marcus Group since joining in 2020, during which time he has helped the company establish its corporate governance model and he has been a critical leader in key financial transactions and corporate financing, building liquidity, capital structure and a strong P&L.

Prior to joining Neiman Marcus Group, Tom led the legal, risk management, and property management departments for Farmer Bros. Co., a Nasdaq-listed food manufacturer and distributor. Before that, Tom was in private practice focusing on corporate transactions, securities, finance, corporate governance, and real estate transactional matters, starting his legal career at Latham & Watkins.

Tom received his undergraduate degree in Public Policy from Duke University and his Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law where he was an editor of the University of Virginia Law Review.
