Samir Paul

Samir Paul, Ph.D. has extensive work experience in the field of analytical chemistry and product development. Samir currently holds the position of Scientist II, Analytical at Nektar Therapeutics since January 2023. Prior to this role, they worked as a Scientist, Analytical Development at the same company starting from January 2021. Samir also has experience as an Associate Scientist, Analytical Services at Nektar Therapeutics from March 2017 to January 2021.

Before joining Nektar Therapeutics, Samir worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Auburn University from August 2010 to December 2016. In this role, they conducted research on the synthesis and characterization of organic compound-based metal nanoparticles. Samir also instructed undergraduate students in instrumental analysis and analytical chemistry laboratory courses, teaching them various techniques such as HPLC, GC-MS, AAS, and FT-IR.

Samir's earlier work experience includes a position as a Product Development Officer at ACI Limited, Narayangonj, Bangladesh from July 2006 to July 2008.

Samir Paul, Ph.D. completed their Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry at the University of Dhaka, Bangladesh from 1998 to 2003. Samir then pursued a Master's Degree in Analytical Chemistry at the University of Dhaka from 2003 to 2006. Following this, they attended Tuskegee University from 2008 to 2010, where they obtained a Master's Degree in Analytical Chemistry. Samir later furthered their education at Auburn University from 2010 to 2015, earning a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Analytical Chemistry.
