Mark Layaw

Mark Layaw has extensive experience in the fuel cell industry. Mark started their career at UTC Power as a Supply Chain Specialist, responsible for purchasing fuel cell components and test equipment. Mark then moved on to become a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, where they oversaw manufacturing operations, quality control, and continuous improvement of fuel cell components.

Mark later joined ClearEdge Power as the Manager of Service Engineering. In this role, they were responsible for the startup, service, overhaul, and decommissioning of fuel cell powerplants globally. Mark also led Root Cause and Corrective action teams, resulting in a significant increase in fleet Mean Time Between Forced Outage.

After their time at ClearEdge Power, Mark joined Doosan Fuel Cell America as the Director of Service and Installation. Mark managed the service and installation operations for the company.

Currently, Mark is working at Nel Hydrogen as the Director of Products for MW Scale. With their background and experience, they bring valuable expertise to the company.

Mark Layaw earned a Master's degree in Manufacturing Engineering from Boston University, where they studied from 1999 to 2001.
