Senior Director Quality Assurance at Neptune Medical

Cheuk Tang has a diverse work experience spanning multiple companies in the medical device and aviation industries. Cheuk began their career in 2000 as an Intern/Engineering Standards at United Airlines before moving to Medtronic/AVE as a Co-Op/R&D in 2001. In 2003, they joined St. Jude Medical, where they held various QA Engineering positions and eventually became the Director of CAPA and Reliability. At St. Jude Medical, they played a key role in customer quality support and developed systems to enhance the customer experience. From 2010 to 2015, they worked as a Principal Engineer, Quality Assurance and Director at St. Jude Medical.

In 2016, Cheuk Tang became a self-employed Consultant, providing quality engineering and quality systems management services to medical device startups. Cheuk also worked as a QE Consultant for capital equipment and implantable electromechanical device startups. In the same year, they joined Philips as a QA and QE Manager, responsible for site quality assurance and quality engineering.

From 2017 to 2021, Cheuk Tang worked at Velano Vascular, Inc. in various roles, including Senior Director, Quality Assurance and Director of Quality Assurance. Cheuk played a crucial role in transitioning the company from a startup to a commercialized environment by overseeing technical engineering, quality assurance, and regulatory responsibilities.

In 2021, Cheuk Tang joined BD as a Quality Leader, where they were responsible for integrating Velano Vascular's QMS into a larger corporation's Quality Systems. Cheuk successfully completed multiple Notified Body audits and ensured the smooth integration of the startup.

Currently, Cheuk Tang holds the position of Senior Director Quality Assurance at Neptune Medical, starting in 2023.

Cheuk Tang holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Materials Engineering, which was obtained from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo. Tang completed this undergraduate program from 1998 to 2003. Following this, Tang pursued a Master of Science degree in Biomedical Engineering from the same university, which was accomplished from 2004 to 2007.
