Fernando Álvarez Pérez is an accomplished professional with extensive experience in software engineering and product development within the railway and technology sectors. Currently serving as the Head of Signalling Product Development at NERTUS MANTENIMIENTO FERROVIARIO Y SERVICIOS S.A., part of the Siemens Group, since February 2024, Fernando previously held the role of Scrum Master at Siemens, where leadership of a 15-engineer team facilitated the development of advanced train traffic control systems utilizing cloud and AI technologies. Prior roles included Senior Software Engineer for CAF Signalling at Exceltic, Software Engineer at BMW of North America focusing on electric vehicle integration, and significant contributions at TECHONRAILS and Randstad providing data analysis for major clients.
