Since our MIT origins in 2008, we’ve partnered with medical professionals to provide patients with custom-fit orthotics, sporting goods brands to equip NFL & NCAA players with custom-fit helmets, and fashion brands like Victoria's Secret to ensure shoppers are happy with the fit of their online purchases. All of this is enabled by our world-class, smartphone-based 3D body scanning technology, commercially known as CurveCapture® (medical) and Verifyt® (retail). 

About the role: We're seeking a strategic and creative Marketing Director to join our team to lead our consumer-facing efforts. As Marketing Director, you'll work with senior leadership to help set growth objectives and develop a multi-channel roadmap for our go-to-market strategy.  If you’re an experienced marketer that will lead and collaborate with other members of the marketing team to meet aggressive goals, then keep reading.    This is a collaborative position that also requires a high degree of independent work due to the nature of our small team. The Marketing Director will report to the VP of Marketing. 

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention for our fashion app, aligning with business goals and product vision.
  • Lead the development and implementation of multi-channel marketing campaigns, leveraging a combination of digital, social, content, and traditional marketing tactics to maximize brand visibility and reach.
  • Manage and mentor a team of marketing professionals, fostering a culture of creativity, innovation, and excellence to achieve ambitious targets and deliver compelling brand experiences.
  • Drive brand positioning and messaging initiatives to ensure consistency and resonance across all marketing channels, enhancing brand identity and consumer engagement.
  • Analyze and interpret data insights to evaluate the performance of marketing initiatives, optimizing campaigns and strategies based on key performance indicators (KPIs) to drive continuous improvement and maximize ROI.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with other facets of the marketing team (Influencer, Content, Growth, Digital) to inform strategic decision-making and drive product innovation based on market insights and customer feedback.
  • Cultivate and nurture relationships with key stakeholders to amplify brand awareness and foster mutually beneficial partnerships.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitor activities, leveraging insights to refine marketing strategies and tactics proactively and maintain a competitive edge.

Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • Proven track record of 5-7 years in marketing roles, with experience in B2C environments, preferably within the app or tech industry.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience with a minimum of 2-3 years in managerial positions, leading and motivating cross-functional teams to achieve business objectives.
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate data insights into actionable marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Results-oriented mindset with a focus on delivering measurable outcomes and achieving aggressive growth targets.
  • Familiarity with marketing technologies, trends, and best practices, with a passion for staying ahead of the curve in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.
  • Adaptability and flexibility to thrive in a dynamic startup environment, where agility and innovation are essential to success.
