Liza Squires

Liza Squires, M.D. currently serves as Chief Medical Officer at Neuren Pharmaceuticals Limited and Origin Biosciences, positions held since August 2022 and March 2019, respectively. With extensive experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Liza previously held the Chief Medical Officer role at Zynerba Pharmaceuticals and Lumos Pharma, and served as Vice President and Therapeutic Area Head for Neuroscience at Aevi Genomic Medicine. Liza's tenure at Shire Pharmaceuticals included various leadership positions, such as Vice President of Global Clinical Development and Innovation, and Vice President of Product Strategy. Early in Liza's career, significant roles included Director of Scientific Affairs at Cephalon and Associate Director of Global Development at Johnson & Johnson. Liza began in pediatric neurology at Spectrum Health, where responsibilities included inpatient and outpatient consultations, as well as teaching. Liza obtained a Doctor of Medicine degree from Michigan State University and a Bachelor of Science in Zoology/Anthropology from the University of Michigan.
