Johannes Tiefenthaler

Johannes Tiefenthaler has a diverse work experience. Johannes is currently a co-founder and co-CEO at neustark, a position they have held since January 2022. Prior to that, they were a co-founder, member of the advisory board, and board member at neustark starting from January 2020.

Before their roles at neustark, Johannes worked as a doctoral student at ETH Zürich from December 2017 to December 2021. During their time at ETH Zurich, they also served as a research assistant in the Separation Process Laboratory, focusing on research related to crystallization, adsorption, chromatography, CO2 capture, and storage.

Johannes gained valuable industry experience through an internship at ABB Turbo Systems in 2014, where they evaluated advanced emission control technology integrated into the turbocharging system. Johannes also completed an internship at Rieter in 2012, where they learned about manufacturing methods such as turning, milling, drilling, grinding, and welding.

Earlier in their career, Johannes did an internship at Primetals Technologies in 2011, working in the Balance of Plants division, where they created bills of materials for customer projects. Johannes also contributed to the preservation of Jewish history and culture as an Austrian Service Abroad at the Galicia Jewish Museum from 2010 to 2011, guiding visitors through exhibitions and developing an education program.

Johannes Tiefenthaler began their education in 2002 at BG/BRG Wels Dr. Schauerstrasse, where they focused on mathematics and natural sciences. Johannes completed their Matura at this institution in 2010.

In 2011, Johannes enrolled at ETH Zürich and pursued a Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering, which they completed in 2015.

During their Bachelor's degree, in 2015, Johannes also participated in the Swiss-European Mobility Programme at the School of Chemical Science and Engineering at KTH Royal Institute of Technology. This program included research and coursework.

Continuing their education at ETH Zürich, Johannes attained a Master of Science (MSc) in Process Engineering from 2015 to 2017.

Additionally, Johannes holds the certification of Bachelor of Science ETH in Mechanical Engineering from ETH Zurich, although the exact month and year of obtaining this certification are not provided.
