Sergio Losilla

Sergio Losilla is a seasoned software developer with extensive experience in computational chemistry and software engineering. Currently serving as a Senior Software Developer at Neutron Therapeutics, Inc. since April 2018, Sergio has previously worked at Varian Medical Systems as a Research Scientist and Software Engineer from September 2015 to December 2017. Prior to that, Sergio held a postdoctoral researcher position at Aarhus University focused on developing novel numerical methods for electronic structure calculations and implementing these methods into high-performance software. During a similar tenure at the University of Helsinki from September 2007 to August 2014, Sergio developed a framework for electronic structure calculations utilizing GPGPU technology, which originated during the PhD program. Sergio earned a Doctor of Philosophy in Computational Chemistry from the University of Helsinki in 2013 and holds a Master’s Degree in Chemistry from Universidad Autónoma de Madrid.
