Jess Sharp

Jess Sharp is an experienced executive with a robust background in advocacy and public policy. Currently serving as EVP of Advocacy & Innovation at the American Bankers Association since November 2015, Jess previously held the position of Managing Director at the Center for Capital Markets Competitiveness within the U.S. Chamber of Commerce from January 2011 to November 2015. Prior to that, Jess was the Principal at Sharp Government Strategies, providing counsel to various clients on policymaking processes. Jess's notable experience in the White House includes serving as Deputy Assistant to the President for Domestic Policy and Special Assistant to the President from 2004 to 2009, where responsibilities included coordinating major reforms and advising on critical policy initiatives. Earlier career highlights include a role on the House Committee on Transportation and Infrastructure, focusing on legislative strategies related to transportation issues. Jess holds a Master's degree in Government from The Johns Hopkins University and a Bachelor's degree in History from Colgate University.
