Mobile Maintenance Reliability Engineer-in-training at New Gold

Evan Brand has a diverse work experience spanning various industries and roles.

Evan started their career as a Technician at Koch Ford Lincoln in 2013.

In 2014, they worked as an Aquatic Lifeguard for the City of Edmonton, a role they held until 2016.

During the summer of 2016, Evan worked as a Summer Engineering Student at Fero Engineered Masonry Technologies, gaining experience in manufacturing, assembly lines, and CAD work.

In 2017, they pursued an Automotive Engineering and Homologation Engineering Internship at TÜV NORD Mobilität GmbH & Co. KG in Germany. In this position, they acquired skills in European Emissions Regulations, basic German language, and Data Evaluation of Automotive Exhaust Emissions.

From 2015 to 2019, Evan worked as a Powertrain Technician for the University of Windsor Formula Team.

In 2020, they joined AVL Powertrain Engineering, Inc. as a Fleet Engineer, a role they held until 2021.

From 2022 to 2023, Evan worked as a Vehicle Project Engineer at AVL Fuel Cell Canada Inc.

Currently, they are a Mobile Maintenance Reliability Engineer-in-Training at New Gold Inc.

Evan Brand completed their Bachelor of Applied Science - BASc degree in Mechanical Engineering with Automotive Option Co-op from the University of Windsor, from 2015 to 2020. Prior to that, they attended MacEwan University in 2014 and focused on Engineering studies. Additionally, Evan has obtained certifications such as PROACT RCA Methodology Certified from Reliability Center, Inc. in June 2023. Evan is also an Engineer In Training certified by Engineers and Geoscientists BC and has completed training in Transportation of Dangerous Goods from Danatec Educational Services Ltd.
