Phillip Le has a diverse work experience in the mining industry. Phillip began their career as a Graduate Mining Engineer at New Gold Inc. in February 2010. Phillip subsequently held various roles at New Gold Inc., including Mine Engineer, Mine Operations Shift Supervisor, and Business Improvement Specialist in Mining. Phillip then transitioned to the role of Senior Business Improvement Specialist, before becoming a Technical Services Superintendent and then an Innovation & Technology Superintendent. Prior to New Gold Inc., Phillip worked as a Vacation Student - Mining Engineer at Newcrest Mining in 2008 and Xstrata Coal in 2006.

Phillip Le attended James Ruse Agricultural High School from 2000 to 2005, where they obtained their HSC. Later, they enrolled at UNSW from 2006 to 2009, graduating with a BE (Hons. Class I) degree in Mining Engineering. Additionally, they were certified as a Professional Engineer by the Engineers and Geoscientists BC.
