Carolyn Kedersha

Assistant Treasurer at New Hampshire Electric Cooperative

From 1988 – 2013, Carolyn worked as a senior executive at BNY Mellon. During her tenure she rose to co-managing the $10 billion Emerging Markets fund, which outperformed nine out of ten years while maintaining a significantly lower risk profile. She also headed up the International and Emerging Market Small Cap Strategies. Prior to BNY Mellon, she worked at Fidelity, where she was an analyst, and at PwC, where she was an auditor. Whether it was as an industry analyst covering electric utilities, or as an auditor for an upstate NY electric utility, Carolyn has had a long standing appreciation of the unique structure and operating challenges facing our cooperative.

Carolyn is a graduate of George Washington University (B.A. Accounting) and Rutgers (MBA Finance). She is a Certified Public Accountant and a Chartered Financial Analyst. She has been a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) since 2010.

As a director who highly values strong corporate governance, she earned the designation of NACD Governance Fellow in 2013. In 2017, she continued her commitment to Board governance, by earning the designation Credentialed Cooperative Director from the National Rural Electric Cooperative Association (NRECA).

Carolyn serves at the pleasure of our members. Serving as Treasurer and Chair of the Corporate Services Committee, she works to make sure that Members’ money is spent wisely in projects that strengthen our distribution network, improves the quality of the service that Members receive and are truly cost effective. As Chair of the Governance Task Force, she works to enhance transparency, and improve accountability.
