Matthias Djurkovic

Matthias Djurkovic has a diverse work experience spanning several companies and roles. Matthias is currently the Director of Data Science and Data Platform at NEW WORK SE, where they focus on driving the adoption and implementation of AI and GenAI for the benefit of the business. Matthias also introduces semantic techniques to optimize models and operationalizes data governance. Prior to this, Matthias served as the Director of Site Operations at NEW WORK SE, responsible for the reliability, performance, and cost efficiency of the platform. Matthias also played a key role in the strategic alignment of the company towards cloud-native operation. Before joining NEW WORK SE, Matthias worked at Die Techniker as the Head of Infrastructure Engineering and later as the Head of Server Operations. Matthias was responsible for the operations and improvement of the compute and storage infrastructure. Earlier in their career, Matthias held roles at ECE, H&M, GeoNet Systems GmbH, and GCT - Gesellschaft für Computertechnik mbH, where they gained experience in application management, infrastructure project management, system engineering, and software engineering.
