Brendan Crowley

Systems Engineer at New York Air Brake Corporation

Brendan Crowley has a background in engineering and has worked for two companies in the rail industry. From 2006 to 2009, they worked at Knorr-Bremse as a Test Engineer, leading the transfer of design and technology from Munich to New York Air Brake. Brendan was responsible for establishing compressor build and test areas in the lab, as well as preparing compressors for field installations. From 2010 onwards, Brendan worked at New York Air Brake, first as an Applications Engineer from 2010 to 2012, and then as a Systems Engineer. In the latter role, they served as the company's liaison to APTA's ECP sub-committee, collaborated with FRA on law-making, and managed activities with Amtrak for computer-controlled brake systems.

Brendan Crowley attended Clarkson University from 2002 to 2006, where they studied Mechanical Engineering. In addition to their education, Brendan obtained a certification in the Jefferson Leadership Institute Program from the Jefferson County Chamber of Commerce in June 2016.
