Jesse Barber is a Senior Research Analyst at the New York Civil Liberties Union, with experience spanning from November 2019 to the present. Previously, Jesse worked as a Research Analyst and is currently a Freelance Journalist, publishing articles on the race and class-based geopolitics of Berkeley, CA, since September 2018. Jesse is also a founding member of the Bay Area Immigration Bond Fund, providing support for undocumented immigrants' release from ICE detention since May 2017. Additional experience includes an undergraduate internship at The Opportunity Institute, focusing on legislative advocacy for equitable education, and a research internship at Berkeley Lab. Education includes a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies from Brown University, obtained in 2019, and a high school diploma from Berkeley High School.
