Jim Tanin

Jim Tanin currently serves as Corporate Vice President at New York Life Insurance Company, a position held since June 2013. Previously, Jim worked as an IT Sr. Portfolio/Program Manager at Dell for a short tenure in early 2013, and prior to that, held several roles at Sun Life Financial from 2002 to June 2012, culminating in the position of Director - Distributed Computing. In this role, Jim managed the consolidation of support for key life insurance and annuity applications, overseeing successful delivery for over 3000 users. Jim also held leadership positions focusing on product systems, including Senior Manager where oversight of complex application development occurred. Earlier career experience includes Senior Technologist at Distributed Logic and Senior Consultant at CSC, where Jim specialized in performance engineering and systems architecture. Jim Tanin earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Computer Science from Saint Michael's College.
