Steve Pawson

Steve Pawson is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Canterbury since May 2020 and serves as a Research Leader in Entomology at Scion from 2007 to the present. At Scion, Steve leads a team of eight entomologists focused on biosecurity, pest management, and alternative quarantine treatments for wood products within the Forest Protection group. Steve holds a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Zoology/Animal Biology from the University of Canterbury, obtained between 2002 and 2006, and a Master of Applied Science in Insect Taxonomy and Ecology from Lincoln University, completed between 2000 and 2001.
