James Cooke has worked in various roles since 2006. James started their career at Benoy as a Lead Document Controller, where they were responsible for understanding the design and building processes and maintaining the process of receiving and issuing drawings, documents and other information. In 2011, they moved to Berkeley Group Holdings Plc as a Document Controller/Technical Assistant, where they were responsible for dealing with requests and enquiries, maintaining the process of receiving and issuing drawings and other information, and keeping drawing racks updated. In 2012, they joined Areen Design as the Document Control Manager/Information Manager, where they managed the document control team, established protocols, procedures and company manuals, and developed and streamlined all aspects of Document Control. In 2015, they moved to Echo Architecture as the Design Collaboration Manager, where they implemented ISO 19650 standards, wrote all guidance and workflow documents on office standards, and set up the folder structure. Most recently, in 2018, they joined Newforma as a Business Solutions Consultant, where they are a product expert, interacts daily with customers to demonstrate value and understanding of Newforma, and trains companies on the advanced features of Newforma.

James Cooke attended the University of the Arts London from 2001 to 2003, where they earned a BTEC National Diploma in Graphic Design. James then obtained a Certified Customer Success Manager (CCSM) Level 3 from SuccessHACKER in December 2022, followed by a Certified Customer Success Manager (CCSM) Level 4 from the same institution in January 2023.
