Jennie Gjertsen

Jennie Gjertsen is an experienced environmental and sustainability professional with a strong background in the mining sector. Currently serving as the Manager of Sustainability and External Relations for the Coffee Gold Project at Newmont Corporation since April 2019, Jennie has also held the position of Environmental and Permitting Manager for the same project. Prior experience includes roles as Environmental and Permitting Manager at Goldcorp from July 2016 to April 2019, and Environment Manager at Kaminak Gold Corporation for a brief period in 2016. At Capstone Mining Corp, Jennie advanced through various roles from Environmental Coordinator to Manager of Environment, Sustainability, and Community Affairs at the Minto Mine between November 2011 and February 2016. Jennie began the career as an Environmental Coordinator at Yukon Zinc Corporation from May 2007 to November 2011. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Biological and Earth Sciences from The University of British Columbia and additional studies through CIM.
