Lachlan Reid

Lachlan Reid possesses extensive experience in business improvement and continuous improvement within the mining industry, currently serving as Manager of Business Improvement and Principal Advisor for Continuous Improvement at Newmont Mining Corporation since June 2009. Prior roles include Manager of Business Improvement at Rio Tinto and Manager of Continuous Improvement at Barrick Gold Corporation, where Lachlan also held the position of Regional Manager for Continuous Improvement in Australia and Africa. Beginning a career as a UG Mine Geologist at Pasminco Mining, Lachlan has built a solid foundation in geology, earning a Bachelor of Science in Geology and Chemistry from the University of Otago, as well as advanced degrees including a Master of Economic Geology. Professional development includes earning Six Sigma Black Belt and Green Belt certifications from the Acuity Institute and Destra, respectively.
