Dan Shappir

Dan Shappir has a comprehensive work experience in the tech industry. Dan is currently working as the Performance Tech Lead at Next Insurance, where they focus on optimizing the performance of the company's systems and interfaces. Prior to this, they served as a Podcast Host and Panelist at Devchat.tv, where they contributed to the JavaScript Jabber podcast discussing web development and JavaScript programming.

Before that, Dan served as the Performance Tech Lead at Wix.com, where they were responsible for enhancing the performance of the platform and conducting performance reviews. Dan also provided education to employees, partners, and customers on performance techniques and best practices.

Dan has also held significant roles at Ericom, including being the CTO and later the VP of Software Development. During their tenure, they oversaw product design, software development, and maintenance. Dan led the development of Ericom AccessNow, an HTML5 remote access solution that gained wide recognition.

Furthermore, Dan contributed to the growth of BackWeb as a Software Architect and Team Leader, playing a crucial role in developing the company's patented Push Applications. Additionally, they gained experience as a Software Engineer and Team Leader at Coresma, where they focused on developing multi-user real-time games and SDKs.

Dan Shappir received a B.Sc. in Computer Science from The Hebrew University of Jerusalem, where they studied from 1986 to 1989. Dan went on to obtain an M.Sc. in Computer Science from Tel Aviv University, completing their studies from 1992 to 1996. Later, in 2002 to 2003, they attended the Technion Institute of Management, where they graduated from the Management Program for Emerging Companies.
