Sravya Madipalli

Sravya Madipalli has a diverse work experience spanning different roles and industries. Sravya currently works at Nextdoor as the Lead, Data Science - Growth and Notifications, where they have been since March 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Data Scientist at Nextdoor from July 2021 to March 2022.

Before joining Nextdoor, Sravya worked at eBay as a Manager, Analytics from May 2020 to June 2021. Sravya'sresponsibilities included managing analytics projects.

Prior to eBay, they had a long tenure at Microsoft, starting in 2013. At Microsoft, they worked as a Data & Applied Scientist, specializing in Xbox Gaming Analytics from April 2019 to April 2020. Sravya was responsible for detecting child accounts in Xbox platforms and developing recommender systems for Game Pass. From December 2013 to March 2019, they worked as a Data & Applied Scientist in Xbox Hardware Analytics, where they conducted storage planning and analysis of Xbox controller bundle sales.

Previous to Microsoft, they worked as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Oklahoma State University from August 2012 to December 2013. Sravya'sresponsibilities included assisting a professor in a course and tutoring students in Microsoft Office applications.

Before their time at Oklahoma State University, Sravya had an internship at Microsoft as a Product Intelligence Manager (Data & Applied Scientist) Intern from May 2013 to August 2013. Sravya worked on cross-functional projects related to Xbox hardware design, validation, and software development.

Sravya also had experience as a Business Consultant at the Riata Center for Entrepreneurship, Oklahoma State University in October 2012. Sravya'srole involved providing analytical solutions for small-scale industries and analyzing data from surveys.

Earlier in their career, they worked as a Software Engineer at Mahindra Satyam from March 2010 to July 2012, and as a Software Trainee at SCI IT SOLUTIONS from August 2009 to February 2010.

Sravya Madipalli obtained a Master's degree in Management Information Systems, specializing in Data Mining, from Oklahoma State University in the year 2013. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor's degree in Computer Science from Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University. Additionally, Sravya has acquired several certifications to enhance their skills and knowledge. In 2013, they obtained a Graduate Certificate in Analytics and Data Mining from Oklahoma State University. Sravya also obtained the SAS and OSU Data Mining Certification from SAS in the same year. Furthermore, Sravya is a certified Base Programmer for SAS 9 and has obtained certifications in R Programming and The Data Scientist's Toolbox from Coursera in 2014. In 2015, they obtained an edX Verified Certificate for The Analytics Edge.
