Rebecca J. Kujawa

Rebecca J. Kujawa is the President & CEO of NextEra Energy Resources at NextEra Energy. Rebecca was previously the Executive Vice President, Finance and Chief Financial Officer at NextEra Energy, Inc. from March 2019 to February 2022.

A native of Florida, Rebecca Kujawa has a long history with NextEra Energy. Rebecca began their career with the company in 1997 as a financial analyst in the office of the chairman and CEO. Rebecca quickly rose through the ranks, becoming vice president of finance for Florida Power & Light Company in 2002, senior vice president of finance for NextEra Energy in 2006, and executive vice president and chief financial officer for NextEra Energy in 2009.

Under Kujawa's leadership, NextEra Energy has become a leading clean energy company. It is the largest rate-regulated electric utility in the United States and a world leader in battery storage. Through its subsidiaries, NextEra Energy generates clean, emissions-free electricity from eight commercial nuclear power units in Florida, New Hampshire, Iowa and Wisconsin.

Kujawa has been recognized often by third parties for their efforts in sustainability, corporate responsibility, ethics and compliance, and diversity. NextEra Energy is ranked No. 1 in the electric and gas utilities industry on Fortune's 2020 list of "World's Most Admired Companies" and ranked among the top 25 on Fortune's 2018 list of companies that "Change the World."

Rebecca J. Kujawa graduated from Duke University with a BA in Public Policy Studies. Rebecca then attended Calhoun High School and received certification from the CFA Institute as a Chartered Financial Analyst.
