Jen Ocean has held a variety of roles since 2010. Jen began their career as a Logistics Assistant at Mission Essential Personnel, LLC in 2010. Jen then moved to Booz Allen Hamilton in 2011, where they were an Analyst, Enterprise Reporting & Analytics. In 2012, they were an Office Manager, National Advocacy Center at the National Wildlife Federation. In 2013, they were Operations and Administrative Manager at the American Sustainable Business Council. In 2014, they were Administrative Support at the American Federation of Teachers. From 2015 to 2019, they were Training Coordinator and then Training Operations Lead at Excella. In 2019, they joined NextUp Solutions as Vice President of Training Operations and Client Engagement. Jen is an A-CSM, CSPO, KMP.

Jen Ocean has a diverse educational background. Jen attended Northern Virginia Community College from 2012 to 2015, studying Business Administration and Management, General and Liberal Arts. Jen then obtained their Certified ScrumMaster (CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance in June 2017. In May 2018, they earned their Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) certification from the Scrum Alliance. In July 2018, they obtained their Kanban Management Professional certification from Lean Kanban Inc. In December 2020, they earned their Advanced Certified ScrumMaster (A-CSM) certification from the Scrum Alliance. Most recently, in July 2021, they obtained their ICAgile Certified Professional - Agile Team Facilitation (ICP-ATF) certification from ICAgile.
