Scott Marvel

Scott Marvel is the managing partner and chairman at Nexus Cognitive. Scott has over three decades of experience in the business sector, including oil and gas, telecommunications, travel, consumer goods, and pharmaceuticals.

In 2015, Scott joined EY as the managing director of digital, data & analytics, and AI. In this role, they were responsible for leading the performance improvement of DDnA Practice (digital, data, agile analytics and artificial intelligence & robotics) across upstream, midstream and downstream operations, engineering and planning. Scott also delivered cross sector engagements in telecom, travel, consumer goods and pharmaceuticals.

During their time at EY, Scott designed and delivered the foundational data and analytics components of the largest digital transformation engagement in the firm for a $10B cruise ship company. Scott also developed methodologies and playbooks for delivering digital, data & analytics solutions to accommodate the unique processes, complexity and variety of data that clients need to effectively manage their business processes - in ways that were not possible with traditional methods and techniques.

In 2018, Scott left EY to join Nexus Cognitive as managing partner and chairman. In this role, they are responsible for leading the company’s team of experts in provide innovative cognitive computing solutions to help organizations across various industries drive digital transformation and operational excellence.

Scott Marvel attended the John Burroughs School for high school. Scott then went on to study finance at the Texas McCombs School of Business, where they received their BBA. Afterwards, they pursued their MBA in International Finance and Information Systems at Texas Christian University's M.J. Neeley School of Business. Finally, they completed a course to become a rotary wing aviator with the US Army Aviation Center. Scott also has a certification from the Project Management Institute in PMP.
