Alex Hayley started their work experience at Ernst & Young in London as a Senior Manager, where they managed group audits for large PLCs and conducted research on the European automotive sector. Alex then worked as the Assistant Group Financial Controller at Vickers PLC, where they handled group financial reporting, systems improvement, and acquisition activities. Following that, they joined Inchcape Shipping Services as the Group Financial Controller, overseeing global financial aspects and implementing systems and reporting enhancements. Alex then moved to Reach, where they served as the Finance Director for European operations and later transferred to Sydney to perform the same role in Australia, leading strategic projects with major international telecommunications carriers. Subsequently, they worked at Lynch Group Australia as the CFO, developing the business's vision and strategic plan and managing the management buy-out and refinancing. Alex Hayley attended the Swinburne University of Technology from 1983 to 1989 and obtained a Bachelor of Business degree in Accounting. Later, in 1994 and 1995, Alex Hayley attended the Institute of Chartered Accountants, Australia, where they obtained their ACA (Chartered Accountant) certification.
