Priscilla Paniagua is an experienced Associate Professor at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) since January 2020 and a Senior Geotechnical Engineer at the Norwegian Geotechnical Institute (NGI) since August 2014. Expertise includes planning and monitoring soil investigations in clay and silt, interpreting results from cone penetration tests (CPTU) and laboratory tests, and managing projects related to quick clay mapping and stability analysis. Additionally, landslide inspections and designing safety measures for soil stability are part of the professional portfolio. Paniagua's academic background includes a PhD in Geotechnical Engineering from NTNU, where research focused on model testing of cone penetration in silt, complemented by prior roles as a teaching assistant and associated researcher involved in seismic microzonation and vulnerability assessments in Costa Rica. Educational qualifications also include a Master’s degree in Geotechnics & Geohazards and a Licentiate degree in Civil Engineering.
