Ammar Mahmood

Ammar Mahmood is a seasoned data scientist with extensive experience in machine learning and remote sensing applications, currently serving as a Senior Data Scientist at EO Data Science since October 2019, focusing on mining and agriculture projects using Google Cloud Platform, TensorFlow, and image retrieval techniques with PyTorch. Prior roles include a Senior Remote Sensing Analyst at Astron Environmental Services and a Machine Learning Engineer at Spookfish. Ammar also contributed as a Graduate Developer at Phobos Consulting, specializing in weed categorization in drone imagery. Ammar holds a PhD in Computer Vision and Machine Learning from The University of Western Australia, as well as a Master of Science in Mechanical Design from Gyeongsang National University and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from the National University of Sciences and Technology.
