Celine Rebours has a diverse work experience in the field of research and education. Celine began their career in 2002 as an assistant researcher at Høgskolen I Bodø (University of Nordland) and worked there until 2005. In 2005, they became the CEO of NORALGAE and held this position until 2011. From 2006 to 2006, they worked as a quality leader/production leader at Vestfjord mussel. In 2007, Celine joined Bioforsk as a researcher, where they actively contributed to developing a new research strategy for the department. Celine is also involved in providing information for coastal management and sustainable development of the algae industry in Norway. In 2013, Celine worked as a teacher at Folkeuniversitetet Nordland avd. Bodø (Adult Education Association, Norway) until 2014. Additionally, they briefly served as a senior lecturer at the University of Tromsø in 2013.

Celine Rebours obtained a Ph.D. in biology, specializing in algae culture and Integrated Multi-Trophic Aquaculture (IMTA), from the University of Caen Basse Normandie. Celine completed their doctoral program at this institution, spanning from 1992 to 2005. Additionally, they pursued further education at Paris VI in France during the academic year of 1996-1997; however, the specific degree and field of study during this time are not provided.
