Experience: 3+ years.
Education: Advanced diploma or degree in Business Administration - Supply Chain Management. Or relative experience combined with a supply chain designation.
About the Job:
We are looking for a detail-oriented and passionate Supply Chain Specialist who has a strong desire to be part of a fast scale-up organization. In this role, you will be part of a small operations team and responsible for purchasing, material planning and shipping to over 40 countries. You will be the gatekeeper for everything that enters and exits the company. The role reports directly to the VP of Operations and has a wide range of cross-functional communication and collaboration.

You have a passion for organization and extremely high attention to detail. You enjoy multitasking, which involves a blend of desk work and actively being on your feet. You have experience in at least two of these three areas: Purchasing, Material Planning, and International Logistics. Duties will include:
Your responsibilities within the department will be split between these key areas:
Material Planning / Purchasing 50%
Convert sales forecasts into material plans that balance product availability and low inventory.
Purchase according to the material plans and as business objectives require.
Build and maintain supplier relationships, and negotiate to optimize total cost ownership.
Resolve supplier issues in collaboration with Nicoya’s technical teams.
Ensure returns ‘from customers’ or ‘to suppliers’ are tracked properly in ERP.
Maintain accurate inventory reporting for both on and off-site manufacturing locations.
Responsible for updating product details and BOMs as required from new products or product changes in ERP.
Assist in making and maintaining various manufacturing and supply chain reports.
Logistics 50%
Our ideal candidate has:
International shipping and receiving experience
Experience with shipping software applications (2ship, UPS, FedEx, etc.)
Experience creating commercial invoices, CERS Declarations (B13), TSCA Declarations
Organized and detail-oriented personality
A keen eye for quality and process improvements
Ability to lift 50lbs
Quick learner
A proactive and forward-thinking approach to work
Excellent communication skills both verbal and written
Strong ability to operate in a dynamic work environment that requires flexibility, multi-tasking, and prioritizing
