Susan Kelso's work experience includes a range of roles in various organizations. Susan started working at the Harvard John A. Paulson School of Engineering and Applied Sciences in 2015 as a Research Assistant, where they measured and quantified the resistance of SLIPS iPDMS surfaces to different biological substances. During their time there, they also developed and performed analytical assays to quantify components of a medical device for treating sepsis.
In 2012, Susan joined the University of Waterloo as a Research Assistant in the Meiering Lab, where they contributed to various research projects. Susan also served as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant, providing support in teaching activities. Additionally, they worked as a Research Assistant in the Guillemette & Dieckmann labs and as an Outreach Associate for Chem 13 News, where they created and edited materials for a chemistry magazine and helped organize a conference.
From 2017 to 2022, Susan worked at Mount Sinai Hospital in Toronto as a Doctoral Candidate, focusing on their research and academic pursuits. Susan then moved on to Lunenfeld-Tanenbaum Research Institute, Sinai Health, where they worked as a Postdoctoral Fellow from July 2022 to October 2022.
In September 2019, Susan took on the role of Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto, where they provided instructional support to students.
Most recently, in November 2022, Susan joined Nicoya as a Customer Success Scientist, applying their scientific expertise to ensure customer satisfaction.
Susan Kelso started their education in 2011 at the University of Waterloo, where they pursued a Bachelor's Degree in Biochemistry. Susan completed this program in 2016. Following their undergraduate studies, they enrolled at the University of Toronto in 2016 and is currently pursuing a Doctor of Philosophy - PhD in Molecular Genetics. Susan'sexpected graduation year is 2022.
