Ashley Purdum

Director of PR & Marketing at Night After Night

Ashley joined the Night team in 2014 to lead PR surrounding the Jameson-sponsored “Fests” series celebrating the music of Tom Petty, Brian Wilson, Bob Dylan, and George Harrison and became a nightcrawler for life. Overseeing the agency’s rebrand from Phear Creative in 2018, and running operations and marketing for the agency's co-founders’ spirits brand Barking Irons since its launch, she has advised on earned media strategy and execution across the agency’s portfolio, while simultaneously driving press for the agency’s work and leadership. Clients during this time have included Jägermeister, The Glenlivet, Avion Tequila, Jameson Irish Whiskey, Altos Tequila, Kings of Leon, The Bronx Brewery, and Trojan Brand Condoms.

Before joining Night, Ashley oversaw the digital PR and field marketing departments for Cornerstone Agency/The FADER magazine, leading PR for both brands (Converse’s Rubber Tracks community recording studio, 'Three Artists, One Song' collaborations, 'Represent' London & SF concert series and Gorillaz’ limited-edition shoe releases; Bushmills Irish Whiskey's 'Since Way Back’ campaign for Diageo; Mountain Dew's 'Green Label Sound' record label; Microsoft’s Windows Phone; and more) as well as entertainment projects, including 100+ album releases, a few of the edgier operas at The Met, and even a Tupac musical on Broadway. During her four years as part of the "Fader Fam," she spent many hours in her chucks wrangling artists and media at the magazine's famed SXSW & CMJ "Fort" events, as well as planning and executing countless press events for a variety of clients.

Before that, Ashley cut her teeth at +1, a mid-aughts Williamsburg record label where she started at just 20 years old, running the media/VIP door at Jelly's famous ‘Pool Parties,’ working with Playboy on a multi-year ‘Rock the Rabbit’ charity t-shirt campaign shot by Mick Rock, throwing a whole lot of after-parties, and helping many bands to breakthrough in the U.S. market.
