Colin Lindeman, GISP has extensive work experience in the field of Geographic Information Systems (GIS). Colin began their career in 2001 as a Telephone Interviewer at the Washington State University - Social And Economic Sciences Research Center. In 2003, they joined Washington State University as a Research Assistant Level II before transitioning to Western Washington University in the same year, where they worked as a Research Assistant Level V and later as a Technical Assistant.

In 2007, Colin joined the Pacific Disaster Center as a Geographic Information Systems (GIS) Associate, and later took on the role of Geospatial Information Analyst in 2008. From 2012 to 2017, they served as a Senior Geospatial Data Systems Analyst at the Pacific Disaster Center, showcasing their expertise in the field.

Colin then moved on to the County of Maui in 2018, where they served as a Geographic Information Systems Analyst V until 2020. Currently, they are employed at NiyamIT Inc. as a GIS Developer, a position they have held since December 2018.

Throughout their career, Colin Lindeman, GISP has demonstrated their knowledge and skills in GIS, making significant contributions to various organizations in the field.

Colin Lindeman, GISP has a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Science from Western Washington University, which they obtained from 2002 to 2007. During their time at the university, they also pursued a minor in GIS. In 2015, Colin achieved the Geographic Information Systems Professional (GISP) certification from GISCI. Apart from their educational qualifications, they have obtained various additional certifications. These include completing the Basic Hunter Education Course offered by the State of Hawaii DLNR in August 2021, Maui Mauka Conservation Awareness Training from the Maui Forest Bird Recovery Project in October 2017, Open Water Diver certification from PADI in August 2014, Amateur Radio License - Technician from the United States of America Federal Communications Commission in October 2016, and Wilderness First Aid - BSA / Adult, Child, Infant CPR & AED certification from ECSI, AAOS in April 2017.
