Summary:
The Certified Payroll Specialist will be responsible for processing payroll in compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws, including prevailing wage and certified payroll requirements. This role is critical in ensuring accurate and timely payroll reporting, adherence to labor standards, and maintaining audit-ready records for public and private projects.

Provide guidance to project managers and supervisors on certified payroll requirements and compliance.
Assist employees with payroll-related inquiries and issues, including wage calculations and deductions.
Qualification Requirements:
Experience:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation is highly desirable.
Required Skills:
Strong knowledge of federal, state, and local labor laws, including prevailing wage and certified payroll regulations.
Proficiency with payroll software (e.g., ADP, QuickBooks, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in handling payroll data and calculations.
Strong organizational and time-management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines under pressure.
Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
Strong knowledge of payroll processes and relevant legal regulations
Strong math and analytical skills.
