Øyvind Lier

Øyvind Lier has a wealth of experience in the fields of engineering and project management, particularly in the areas of dams, hydropower, and solar energy. Øyvind has held various roles in different companies and organizations, including Norconsult AB and SWECO, where they served as Vice President for Dams Sweden and Project Manager respectively. Additionally, they have worked as a Consultant and Senior Hydropower Specialist at The World Bank. Lier also started their own firm, Vannstrøm, where they conducted short-term jobs for firms while studying. Throughout their career, Lier has been involved in market coordination, resource allocation, growth and recruitment, research and development, bidding activities, and product quality and economy. Overall, they have a strong background in the energy and engineering sectors.

Øyvind Lier has a diverse education history. Øyvind started with a Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1995 to 1999. Following that, they pursued further education at the University of British Columbia in 1998 and 1999, although it is not specified if they obtained a degree during that time.

In 2007 and 2008, Øyvind attended two different institutions simultaneously. Øyvind earned an Executive Energy Management (EMEM) degree from BI Norwegian Business School and also pursued a similar program at ESCP Business School, completing an Executive Master Energy Management.

Additionally, Øyvind Lier obtained a certification as an NVE Approved Hydraulic engineer for dams of all safety classes (Area V, class 1-4) from the Norwegian Water and Energy Directorate in May 2014.
