Ching-Pin Shih has worked in various roles in the pharmaceutical industry since 2005. Ching-Pin began their career as a Private First Class in the Republic of China Marine Corps in 2005. In 2007, they worked as an Assistant Research at Abnova Corporation, where they performed quality control of monoclonal antibodies. From 2010 to 2012, they worked at Savior Lifetec Corporation as an Associate Supervisor and CMC Aseptic Process Engineer, Technical Support Department, where they were responsible for qualification and validation activities for manufacturing plants and developed and maintained GMP and CMC documents of specific projects. Ching-Pin then became Head of Technical Support Department and Head of Sterile Production Plant 6 at Savior Lifetec Corporation from 2012 to 2014. In 2014, they also worked as an Injectable Plant Production Engineer at ScinoPharm Taiwan Ltd, where they developed and implemented qualification protocols for sterile production of injectable pharmaceutical products. In 2017, they worked as a Graduate Intern at Horizon Discovery, where they identified the market access, including competition landscape, development progress, freedom to operate (patents) and potential value of the hypoimmunogenic cell engineering for the off-the-shelf (universal donor) cellular therapeutic field. From 2018 to 2020, they worked as a Consultant at Johnson & Johnson and YesHealth Group, and as Director of Operations at Nordic Harvest.

Ching-Pin Shih's education history includes a Bachelor's Degree in Marine Biotechnology and Resources from National Sun Yat-Sen University from 2001 to 2005, a Master's Degree in Biotechnology from National Cheng Kung University from 2008 to 2010, a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the University of Bath from 2015 to 2016, and a Master of Philosophy (MPhil) in Bioscience Enterprise from the University of Cambridge from 2016 to 2017.
