Astri Marie Ravnaas

Astri Marie Ravnaas has a diverse and extensive background in the field of IT and cybersecurity. Astri Marie is currently serving as the Head of IT Security Operations at Norges Bank Investment Management, where they are responsible for cyber security engineering, architecture, application security, secure development identity management, and access management.

Prior to their current role, Astri was a Board Member at Computas AS, a Nordic provider of IT solutions and consulting. Astri Marie played a key role in delivering value-adding solutions for the public benefit and was recognized as one of Norway's 50 Leading Women in Tech in 2021.

Astri also served as a Board Member at Norsk Informasjonssikkerhetsforum (ISF), where they contributed to the establishment and maintenance of a high level of security in various organizations from both the public and private sectors.

Before joining Norges Bank Investment Management, Astri was the Head of Cyber Security Group Function at Orkla Group. In this role, they oversaw risk management, audit and control, GDPR compliance, training, and awareness. Astri Marie also served as a Board Member of Orkla IT, a subsidiary of Orkla ASA.

Earlier in their career, Astri worked at Sopra Steria, specializing in cybersecurity and Microsoft technology. Astri Marie obtained the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate (MSCA) degree and was responsible for raising the knowledge of cybersecurity among Sopra Steria employees as the Cyber Security Community Lead.

Astri started their career as a Summer Intern at ITverket AS, where they worked on designing an app for an insurance company. Astri Marie also served as a Student Assistant at NTNU, supporting Jenteprosjektet Ada in educating more female MSc. students in Computer Science/IT.

Throughout their career, Astri has demonstrated expertise in areas such as cloud computing, data analysis, user experience, infrastructure as code, vulnerability management, firewall management, scripting, and automation. Astri Marie has been recognized for their contributions to the field of technology and their commitment to promoting diversity and inclusion within the industry.

Astri Marie Ravnaas completed their Master of Science (M.S.) degree in Communication Technology and Digital Security at the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 2011 to 2016. Astri Marie also obtained various certifications, including the New Leader Programme from Norges Bank Investment Management in June 2023, NSM grunnprinsipper for IKT-sikkerhet from Nasjonal sikkerhetsmyndighet in October 2022, and the Orkla Leadership Compass from Orkla Group in March 2022. Additionally, they have obtained several certifications from Microsoft, including Microsoft Azure Architect Design, Microsoft Azure Security Technologies, and Microsoft Azure Fundamentals. Astri Marie has participated in training programs and tournaments such as the Cyber Defense NetWars Tournament from SANS Institute in December 2019, SEC530: Defensible Security Architecture and Engineering from SANS Institute in December 2019, and Vulnerability Management and Scanning Strategies and Best Practices from Qualys in 2019. Astri Marie has also completed training programs in application security, secure coding, and practical hacking tools and techniques.
